Brief 05 - Jewellery Brand Concept

Concept

A jewellery brand specialising in diamonds, based on the number of different cuts and shapes. The cut of a diamond greatly impacts a diamonds brilliance. The overall style of the design should be very clean cut, sharp and sophisticated, through the use of geometric shapes that are utilised when a diamond is created. Symmetry and proportion is especially important, and this could be incorporated directly to the layouts and designs.

The 4 C's:
- Cut
- Colour
- Clarity
- Carat weight

Fire - the rainbow colours that come from within
- reflecting white light - colour spectrum - prisms

Other names for diamonds:
- stone
- rock
- jewel
- gem
- gemstone
- ice

Ideas for the name of the brand:
- Paragon
- Frost

- Rockvault
- Diamo

- The Diamond Boutique
- Boutique Jewellers

The names I like the most are Cavello Row and The Diamond Boutique. The Cavello row would have to have a strap line e.g. Diamond Boutique but it is quite an intriguing name and gives an upper class/ luxury feel to it, and rolls off the tongue which makes it quite catchy. The Diamond Boutique is simple and straight to the point as that what the jewellery brand fundamentally is. I also liked Rockvault as it is strong, bold and gives a feel of the diamonds being safe kept, however I don;t think it is quite a catchy enough name as it doesn't exude luxury in that sense.
